I am exhibiting “Annika” – a portrait of a model started alla prima in Lois Wooley’s portrait workshop last year in two separate locations – online at the Woodstock School of Art’s Salon III, and in person at the 10th Annual Members’ Show at Spencertown Academy’s art center.

Although I would have enjoyed exhibiting the actual portrait in the lovely, light-filled Robert H. Angeloch Gallery in Woodstock, both of these exhibitions and reception weekends were the same time period, and as show curator I needed to be onsite for the Members’ Show.

The reception and exhibit at the Members’ Show were a delight. Despite the large number of works, the exhibit hung extremely well, and the sheer variety of subject matter, style, and media was colorful and vibrant: painting, drawing, mixed media and collage, wood sculpture, ceramics, fiber art, photography, and printmaking.
