About Meryl

In Brief
I took up painting seriously after moving from New York City to Columbia County, where I was captivated by the lush landscapes and intriguing rural environments.
I paint primarily in oils as well as in different water media.
I studied film and art history at Oberlin College and The University of Michigan, and studio art at The Art Students League of New York and California College of the Arts.
I have exhibited work at art shows throughout the Northeast, including juried as well as member and society shows.
I am currently a member of the Northeast Watercolor Society (Kent, CT), and a curator of art for the Gallery at Spencertown Academy of Art.
